Dove

Colorado is a dry and arid state in which to live. It doesn’t make it any better with the fact that we have hit record temperatures already this summer and have barely seen any rain. Having such dry conditions can make one’s skin dry as well. It’s a battle I seem to be fighting constantly. Soaps tend to dry skin out even more, so I lean towards using body washes or liquid cleansers. 

When Dove’s Visible Renewing Body Wash arrived on my doorstep I was pretty excited to try it out. Dove says that this body wash is part of a revolutionary line that contains the highest concentration of NurtriumMoisture technology out of all of Dove’s body washes. There are three different variations in this line. I received the Renewing Body Wash which promises to nourish and replenish my skin. It sounds divine doesn’t it? It also sounds too good to be true. I was a bit skeptical when I first tried this body wash. After just one week my skin was supposed to be transformed. Currently, the state of my skin is a mess. I have dry patches all over, mostly on my legs. My shins seem to be the worst. I try to put lotion on after showering however, most of the time I forget.

Day 1 of using Dove’s Renewing Body Wash was an incredible success. While the body wash lathered up and was quite sudsy it also felt like I was adding a layer of silky smooth lotion to my body. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with the results of the body wash. My dry skin is completely gone. That is quite amazing because we’ve spent a lot of time at the pool recently. As one knows, being out in the sun can dry out your skin as well. Normally, after a day in the sun, my skin gets really dry, and by the next day my skin starts peeling. Since I’ve begun using Dove’s body wash my skin hasn’t peeled once. It’s incredible, really. 

After using this product for a week my skin is soft and supple. It also has a shiny sheen to it. I have not put a lick of lotion on my body since I've begun using this product. It’s definitely a keeper around here.
