Ham n' Swiss Sliders

_MG_7608.jpgYou must run out and purchase all the ingredients to make these sliders; make them, and then try not to eat all of them in one sitting. If you're a Ham n' Swiss person your mouth should be watering right now. You will love these sandwiches.
_MG_7579.jpgThe ingredients are pretty simple. Perhaps you already have everything on hand.
_MG_7580.jpgI love to use Hawaiian rolls for these sliders because they add a little sweetness to the sandwiches. I also like to make these sliders as if they are one big sandwich. It's easier that way.
_MG_7593.jpgSpread a light layer of mayo on both sides of the bread. As much as I love mayo don't over do it. I've over done it before and it wasn't a good thing.
_MG_7594.jpgPile on the ham on the bottom section of the bread.
_MG_7596.jpgPlace the swiss on top of the ham. Add as much as you like. A little extra cheese never hurts.
_MG_7597.jpgPlace the top "slice" of bread on the sandwich. No worries about it being perfect. It will all work out in the end.
_MG_7583.jpgMake your mustard/worcestershire sauce by melting butter. Add mustard.
_MG_7588.jpgAdd worcestershire sauce.
_MG_7590.jpgHaving minced onions on hand makes things just a little easier. Add a few teaspoons of onions. Then whisk everything together.
_MG_7599.jpgSpread sauce over the top of the sandwiches. Don't skimp.
_MG_7600.jpgSprinkle some poppy seeds over the top. Then cover the pan with foil and bake these babies in the oven.
_MG_7604.jpgPull them out of the oven once they are lightly toasted and cheese has melted.
_MG_7609.jpgServe warm and gush over the melted cheese. Enjoy.

Ham and Cheese Sliders
Ingredients:
For the sandwiches:
24 slider rolls (mini Hawaiian rolls are perfect!)
24 slices honey ham
24 small slices Swiss cheese
Mayonnaise

For the sauce:
1½ tbsp. yellow mustard
4 tbsp. butter, melted
2 tsp. dried minced onion
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Poppy seeds, for sprinkling

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350˚ F.  Split the slider rolls and spread the insides lightly with mayonnaise.  Fold a slice of ham to fit on each slider bun, and top with a slice of Swiss cheese.  Replace the top bun to assemble the sandwiches.  Place the sandwiches on a baking sheet.

To make the sauce, combine all ingredients except the poppy seeds in a small bowl and whisk to combine.  Drizzle the sauce over the tops of the slider buns.  Sprinkle with poppy seeds.  Cover with foil and bake 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted.  Remove the foil and bake 2 minutes longer.  Serve warm.

Just made these today for a playdate/luncheon that I had. Everyone loved them! I love that you can feed a crowd with them and how easy they are to make. Thanks, Jan!
