The children and I bought him a Rockies mug. We did a little celebrating with ice cream floats before dinner. No cake or cupcakes; just ice cream. It was kind of fun, but felt a bit off. The kids wanted to know where the cake went. My dear husband only wanted floats, no cake. Can you believe it?
After celebrating with our children the two of us headed downtown to see a show. I highly recommend that you see a show if you're ever in Denver. It's so much fun. We've been to quite a few now.
The story line was fantastic and incredibly twisted! It really gets you thinking about The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
The area around the Denver Center for Performing Arts is pretty cool. You'd never know it was tucked away in the middle of the city.

You guys are adorable. So glad you got a night out on the town!
I have the soundtrack somewhere if you want to borrow it!! Such a great show. When I saw it the first time, I was in St. Louis and it was a new production and had a lot of issues during the show (A blackout, and Glinda's dress tore). I saw it again in L.A years later in a theater made for the show and it was INCREDIBLE. My Glinda was Megan Hilty, who is now one of the two stars on "Smash"!
I love the picture of the Wicked sign where you can see your reflection. So cute. Glad you had a great time.
That was Jared's idea. He said I should get a reflection of us in the window. :)
In true New England fashion, I 'd like to say your hub's bday and night out looked "wicked awesome."
I love the soundtrack...I'm def going to have to see the show.
