Friday night my Lutheran Stud and I attended a choral concert at a local church. The view of the mountains as the sun was going down was just beautiful. I couldn't resist a photo. Just pretend the vehicles aren't there.
We had a great time listening to music from a variety of broadway shows. It makes me want to see more shows. Wicked is high on my list. We also talked about watching Little Shop of Horrors. It's been years since I've seen it.
The adorable, young brown-haired gal is Sara. She attends our church and invited us to listen to her perform.

How fun! I love Broadway, being the daughter of two theatre majors I grew up listening to all that on vinyl. :)
Oh my stars, WICKED! I think it's coming back to Denver this fall, right? That musical, to me, is the perfect musical. It gets everything right and is written to perfection.
Have you seen Wicked? It's here in April. We were thinking of going. Do you want to go with?
Don't just think about going to see Wicked, Jan. Do it! You'll love it. My kids even love the soundtrack.
Why isn't Sarah teaching music for VBS?
Oh, go see Wicked, Jan! It will forever change the way you think of the Wizard of Oz. It's incredible!
Wicked is the best! I saw it on Broadway in NYC 3 years ago and loved every minute of it. My advice for seeing any new musical, grab the soundtrack, listen to it and get really familar with the songs. It makes the whole night of the performance so much more enjoyable in my opinion.
I'm with Heather. I love Broadway too. I can't get enough of it.
