A New 7 Year Old

Rachel you came into this world just 5 hours after we arrived at the hospital. Since we lived so far from the hospital the doctor thought it would be a good idea to induce, knowing my track record and all. Your umbilical cord was wrapped around your entire body several times. (You must have been doing flips through my entire pregnancy!) Though I didn't really feel any contractions until the last 45 minutes or so, I am sure you did. You came out after just 1 and half pushes all bruised and even with a bloodshot eye. Poor thing! But you made it, weighing in at 8 pounds, and we are so glad that you did. We've enjoyed watching you grow and your smile is contagious. We love you! Happy 7th Birthday, Rachel.
