While visiting the Braatens we made this popcorn cake. We were celebrating Anna's half birthday. Yeah, that's why we made the cake. Anna's now 18 months old. :)
Thoughts on what Jonathan is thinking? I think he is wishing that Adriane was around to throw marshmallows on the ground, so he can eat them up like a dog. That's what I think.
Gummy bears!!!! M&Ms, but not just regular M&Ms. These are pretzel M&Ms. I am thinking that I now need to have these in stock in my house somewhere, so I can snack on them during the day.
Then have your cute assistant throw in some M&Ms. I think the recipe calls for one cup, but I think if you want to add more you should. You won't be disappointed.
After a couple hours you get this beautiful, gooey cake. Eat it until your stomach is about to burst. It's so good you can't stop eating it!
POPCORN CAKEPop 2 bags popcorn.
Melt 1 stick butter in pot.
Add 16 oz. marshmallows. Combine marshmallows and popcorn.
Add 1 cup pretzel filled M&M's and 1 cup plain M&M's and 1 cup gummy bears.
Spray the inside of an angel food cake pan.
Pour popcorn mixture into pan and cover with foil.
Let sit for 2 hours and then devour.

A) How did you catch the gummy bear strings? That's amazing!
B) This cake is actually HEALTHY, since, like celery, it actually burns more calories chewing it than digesting it. Er. Something.
Oh my. I could sure go for a piece right now. Your pictures are so great I can almost taste the salty and sweet goodness.
Good call, Adriane. I am inclined to agree with you on the idea that the popcorn cake is healthy. Maybe I should make this for the kids tomorrow!
Wow, I can see how kids would go crazy for this. I would too. It looks fantastic. I have a sweet treat linky party going on at my blog and I'd like to invite you to stop by and link your cake up. http://sweet-as-sugar-cookies.blogspot.com/2011/03/sweets-for-saturday-8.html
