...that counts! Last Sunday we celebrated the 10th anniversary of my 22nd birthday. Sundays are extremely hectic in our household, so Jared came home Saturday evening and began baking a cake for my birthday. He told the kids that they would get to decorate on Sunday (my actual birthday) after he got home. Well, on Sundays he doesn't usually get home until 8:30pm or so. He arrived home and promptly went to work. It's double layered cake in case you were wondering. Yes, that is frosting dripping down.
The children aren't sure he knows what he's doing. What do you think?
There. Finished. Can I just say that this cake is so tall that when you put the lid on the cake gets smashed down? It was quite amusing.
After an incredibly long day we still managed to have more cake. Yes, more cake. The church surprised me earlier that morning. More on that later. Can you say sugar high? We all had a piece of cake with ice cream and frosting on the side. There is still more than half of the cake left, sitting on the counter as I type. It's the thought that counts right? Jared had no idea that we would have cake all day long. It was pretty crazy. :)

It still looks yummy!! Remember the 1st birthday cake Jared & David made for Landen when were were in Ft. Wayne with the Cheerios dyed green? They are quite talented cake decorators! :o)
Oh, Laura! I completely forgot about that. Thanks for bringing back such a great memory. That was too funny!

What a guy. That cake looks delicious. I hope there was lots of finger licking while he decorated too. That's always the best.
That is a perfectly beautiful cake--he is going to give Kellee a run for her money!(But nevertheless, tell him not to quit his day job)
Happy, happy day Jan.
