We stopped in Nebraska for lunch. Now, another thing I’ve learned about travelling with kids is that when they’ve been sitting in a car for a long time, when you let them out they need to run. We decided that instead of stopping at fast food places to get food, we’d pack our own food and find parks along the way. It’s much cheaper and the scenery is much nicer. It just so happens that we got to eat lunch in a teepee. Inside out teepee was a bird’s nest and a pretty little bird. They just don’t make teepees the way they used to these days.
Anna was pretty ecstatic to get out of her car seat. Jared is contemplating the rest of our long, long drive.
