Day 8

_MG_8215.jpgHere's a habit that drives me nuts. I have stacks. Stacks all over the place. Stacks of paper. Stacks of books. Stacks of fabric. Stacks of magazines. Stacks of stacks. When I try to tidy up around here I stack things up, rather than deal with things in the moment. Then the stacks just sit there until I can't take it anymore and then they either disappear or, even worse, end up in a drawer so I don't have to look at it. Ugh! Perhaps it's time for me to read Getting Things Done. My husband seems to think this book is useful. I know he's not the only one too. Others have read it and are implementing things in this book. My Lutheran Stud has finished that book and is on to this one now. It seems to be working because he is getting a lot done. But who has time read a book about getting things done when I should be getting things done instead?

I have the same bad habit. I get it from my Mom. Oh wait. Since we're sisters we must both get it from her. Does your husband tease you about your piles? Mine does. Oh well. It's what makes me me. :)

I have that problem too! And Lauren is right. It is all Mom's fault :) I might have to check the book out. I can add it to my pile of things to read.

Papers are the hardest thing to organize!! And more of it comes every day in the mail. How can we possibly defend ourselves against that?
