After a long day of cleaning and packing we headed over to Jim N’ Nick’s.
We needed a table for six adults and ten kids. They didn't have room for us right away, so we had to wait. With that many kids it didn't take much to keep them occupied. We finally got to our tables and were starving. I think it was about 7:30. It all worked out because once our food arrived the restaurant was starting to empty out.We had this space pretty well filled up with kids running around. The restaurant was extremely accommodating. Now if you like barbeque you should try this place out. I had hot links and beef brisket. It was fantastic. I think there is more a southern flavor to their food, but what do I really know. I love all kinds of barbeque. Their sweet tea is absolutely fabulous.
What a way to celebrate their last evening in Denver! We ran into the Fienes old pianist who just happened to be celebrating his 60th birthday. What a hoot that was!
The night was still young…although not for the children. Most of mine were exhausted. Since the Fienes no longer had a home in which to sleep they camped out at our house. We put the kids to bed and pulled out the wine, port, and chocolate chip cookies. Does it get any better?
