Road Trip

Last week my parents were in town. They left Monday evening and on Tuesday we hit the road. We headed up to Breckenridge for a little vacation church workers conference for the Rocky Mountain District.  It's really a more like a reunion, kind of. We get to catch up with old friends from the seminary and meet new ones, while our husbands are hard at work, listening to speakers and talking theology with their fellow pastors. Yes, it's a lot of work, but someone has to do it.
The conference is always planned for the same time every year and it is always a beautiful time of year. The Aspen trees are just gorgeous.
We arrived at the Beaver Run Resort and this was the view from our room. I know. Don't be too jealous. Okay, you can be a little jealous because I just stared out the window a lot while we were there. I'll give you a room tour next time.  Since we stayed three nights it can get expensive eating out every night, so we when go we pack all of our food and I usually do all the cooking while we are there. It's much more economical, at least for our family.
