Dinner at The Cliff House

For our anniversary Jared and I decided to have dinner on the front porch of The Cliff House.  It was fantastic! I told my husband that I had to get pictures of our food for Kellee.  That’s right Kellee.  These food pictures are for you. I loved the decorative butter.  I’m going to try this sometime..Here’s the view from our table.  We got to do a little people watching.  It was fun. And here are our amazing dinners!  This is called Fruits De Mer.  Okay, I don’t know what that name means, so this is what it is: Black Tiger Shrimp, Maine Lobster, Sea Scallops, Grilled Summer Squash, Angel Hair Pasta, Saffron Fumet. We also had the Cliff House Filet Mignon.  This steak was unbelievable. This is what the dish includes: Black Truffle Stuffed and Blue Cheese Topped Filet, Horseradish and Honey Mashed Potatoes, Asparagus and Veal Jus.  I highly recommend it unless you don’t like bleu cheese.When the sun went down the lights came on. Aren’t these the coolest?  I want some for my yard. 

The Cliff House

Jared and I stayed at The Cliff House for two nights. It was an incredibly charming hotel with some beautiful character. There was an enormous porch out front where we enjoyed dinner one evening along with some people watching.There was a beautiful music room however we missed the piano music.

Our room had nice paintings along with a gas fireplace.We also had a little sitting area stocked with ice and glasses.   Aren’t we cute with our matching computers checking emails and surfing the internet?Now it’s the little things that I get excited about.  I have thing for hotel toiletries.  I love them.  Jared makes fun of me.  I love Aveda products and this shampoo was incredible!

And the mirrors!  The mirrors were fun and I played while Jared took a nap.  Someday I’ll get this mirror photography figured out, maybe.

And guess what this is?  Can you tell?  It was a heated toilet seat.  Seriously!  It was so cool.  I left it on the whole time, but when the cleaning lady came she would shut it off.  I’m telling you, it’s the little things…

We even had a little workout.  Okay, maybe Jared was just messing around a little. And while he was pretending to workout I was playing around with the mirrors, of course.  :)  

I hated to leave this place.  The Cliff House was beautiful and I would go back in a heart beat!
