12 Hours On the Road

It was getting late and the sun was starting to go down.  We still had a few more hours on the road.  The kids were doing great, but we decided to stop at a park in Pierre to let them run around.I love this time in the evening.  It’s my favorite time of day to take photographs, at least in the summer time.  The natural light is fantastic. We let the kids out of the car and they went nuts!

It was sort of like popcorn kernels popping in a popcorn machine.

 

 

Now you just don’t see these kinds of merry go rounds anymore, at least not in Denver.  I’m not sure why.  It’s so much fun!  Anna was like the Energizer bunny.  She was all over that park. They don’t make slide like this anymore either.  These days kids get those plastic, twirly things.

You can never go wrong with swings!  It’s a winner with everyone. 

The sun was setting as we kept driving.  We made it around 10pm.  Not too bad.
