On the Road

I get questions often about how our family travels around and what kind of car we drive.  Well here you go.  It’s a tight fit, but it works just great for us.  We’re on a long road trip.  Don’t get any ideas about breaking into our house while we’re gone.  Our neighbors are watching our house like a hawk and their German Shepherd was trained by a retired police officer!  We don’t have anything of interest anyway.  Anything and everything that really matters in our car with us.  :)  Our first stop is South Dakota.RTSo anyway, isn’t she a beauty?  Jared and our neighbor cleaned and waxed her.  She’s never been so clean.  Hey, family in South Dakota.  Here we are.  Look for us down the road sometime.  You won’t be able to miss us. :)RT1 Travelling in this age of technology is just crazy.  We have three kids in the back hooked up with a DVD player.  (Thanks Marissa and Nate!)RT2Rebecca, the only one without a car seat or booster seat, is in the middle row along with Anna and Elizabeth.   RT3There’s Elizabeth. She has no idea what she’s in for.  For all she knows we’re just driving down the street to the grocery store.  See me?  There I am in the bottom right hand corner.  Hi! RT4 The outlets are out of control in our Land Cruiser.  We’ve got the GPS plugged into one and a computer charging on the other.RT5 Then we have a phone charging from the middle console.  And thanks to our friend Leon we can surf the internet with the wifi card.  RT6 I can even blog for you all from the road!  Road trips have definitely changed from when we little.  We rolled around in the back seat.  Car seats?  We didn’t sit in them.  Movies?  We didn’t have those either.  Internet?  We didn’t even know what that was.  It’s funny to see how times have changed.

  1. Jan, this is taking "don't text and drive" to an unhealthy level. Get help!

  2. I know Adriane. It's out of control. Maybe next time I'll have Jared drive while all of this is going on. ;)
