Who wouldn’t love a salad that included bacon? Sometimes I like to cook bacon in the oven. There’s no splattery mess and you can just stick it in the oven and set the timer. However, when you pull it out, you’ll want to soak up all the grease with paper towels or something similar. While you’re cooking your bacon, pull out your baguette. Slice it up. Then cut it into cubes. We’re going to make our own croutons. They taste better and they are probably cheaper than those boxes in the store. I love buttery croutons, so melt some butter in a pan. Then add your cubes of bread and start toasting!Add any herbs and spice that you like. I love garlic, so I threw in some garlic powder.Next we’ll make our salad dressing. Get out your measuring cup and pour some buttermilk into it.Add a little apple cider vinegar. That’s what will give out dressing a little zing. The mayo will make smooth and thick. Then add some green onions for some more flavor.
