She's 4!

Aug262008_BABY_0015It's been a crazy week, but today we got to celebrate little Elizabeth's birthday. Elizabeth became a big 4 year old today, but weight wise, she's smaller than her little sister. How did that happen? She's what I call our dainty little diva. You'd understand if you've ever met her. When Elizabeth was born while she was quite small, but that has never stopped her from being heard when she wants something. The photo taken above was just after she was born.
Aug312008_0002-1She fit perfectly into my Lutheran Stud's hands.
Aug312008_0002She was baptized 5 days after she was born.
_MG_8868Earlier in the week we headed to Rocky Mountain National Park to do a little hiking. When did she get big enough to do that? She's grown up so much in this past year that she wants, so much, to be like her older siblings. Most recently she has taught her little sister, Anna, how to hold a pencil properly and, seriously, loves doing chores. She woke up one morning and asked if she could wipe down all of the toilets. How can a mother say, "No" to that? I do believe this is a phase, but, for now, I'm going to enjoy it. Coloring, puzzles, Legos, and riding her bike are some of Elizabeth's favorite things to do lately. She's also trying to be a bit more independent by believing that she is capable of crossing the street by herself and getting her own water from the water dispenser on the fridge. Elizabeth also has no problem trying to get her way by yelling in your face when she doesn't have your attention or when you tell her no. Yikes! That's the diva in her coming out. We love all of your dainty and diva ways, Elizabeth. Happy birthday!

It's funny to think we were pregnant and had new baby girls at the same time! I hope Eisley is good friends with your cutie someday.

And to think when that baptism picture was taken you'd be doing this all over again in just a year. :) My how time flies!
