The Weather Outside Is Frightful

_MG_2652.jpgWe've had some bizzare weather around here again. Actually one might just say that this is what happens in the winter. I think we've had more snow already this season than we had all of last season.
_MG_2668.jpgThe temperatures haven't warmed up too much so snow is falling on top of snow that hasn't had the chance to melt.
_MG_2679.jpgEven though it was only 10 degrees outside we couldn't keep the children inside any longer.
_MG_2683.jpgSnowballs are a bit difficult to make when it's dry, cold snow.
_MG_2686.jpgThe little ones got rides on sleds.
_MG_2689.jpgSnow angels were made.
_MG_2697.jpgI tried to get a group photo. Why do I contiue to do this?
_MG_2703.jpgSnow was thrown.
_MG_2704.jpgAnd more snow was thrown.
_MG_2708.jpgAnna kept falling over whenever she tried to walk in the snow.
_MG_2714.jpgThe kids wanted to build a hill so the could take the sled down it. They really wanted to go sledding.
_MG_2716.jpgThe little girls got plenty of sledding in and when they got tired they slept the day away while my Lutheran Stud took the older children to a real hill on which to sled.

Brrr! They look pretty happy for as cold as it is!

Don't you just love that the dads like to take the kids sledding? At least that's how it works in our house. Gregg takes the kids sledding and I drink hot chocolate in the warm house and take a nap. Man, I love winter!

They're like marshmallows so they probably don't even know how cold it is outside.

DeAnn, I think our husbands like to go sledding just as much as the the kids do. That's why they take them. They want ride down a hill too. :)

It has not snowed here yet. I'm not sure if I'm ready for this...can you get it to melt before Friday?

I love your little brood of chickies! They look so happy playing together.

And I think you're right, we already seem to have gotten more snow than last year...
