Uh-Oh

I received an email with a $10 off coupon to a local thrift store the other day. I promptly emailed it to Kellee. Then she emailed me back and said I should come over and we should go shopping together. I was so close to driving to her place. She has better thrift stores. For some reason I find some great things when I'm with her. Well, rather than drive all the way to her neck of the woods I opted to go to the store near our house. I figured that since I had all the children with me we could get started looking for Halloween costumes. What better place to come up with Halloween costumes than a thrift store, right?_MG_0787.jpgNot only did we find some costumes, but I found these cute, cute bowls. I'm blaming this all on Kellee and Heather. You guys and all of your cute, adorable Pyrex bowls have me coveting just a tiny little bit. We've been on a really slow quest to get rid of a lot of our plastic storage containers, so when I hit the thrift stores I've begun looking for fun bowls and other glass storage containers for leftovers, baking, or just for serving. I really wanted to start collecting some cute turquoise vintage Pyrex, but have yet to come across any or when I did it was more than I was willing to pay. This whole set was just $8.
_MG_0789.jpgI definitely don't know much about Pyrex except for the fact that they are beautiful and sturdy and oh so fun. I just stumbled across this set and just love the little mushrooms on the outside. Heck, I did'nt even know it was Pyrex until I started examining the condition of the bowls. I was just happy that there was a set of them along with lids. It also matches my kitchen. There are cute little specks just like my countertop. It now appears that I may be starting to collect a little Pyrex here and there. Oh, boy!

That is so exciting! There was no Pyrex at my thrift store. I did find some stuff for my bedroom makeover and a piece of Hall pottery.(this piece)http://www.etsy.com/listing/78313150/antique-hall-drip-jar-and-lid-or-sugar?ref=v1_other_2 (I also have the pitcher) So, even though we couldn't go together, it turned out to be a good day! Thanks for the coupon.

I knew you loved mushrooms! Seriously, every time I see a mushroom in a yard, I think of you.

Oh my stars! I like you more with every post and now this...

So I have to ask - which thrift store did you hit up?

You should tell me your favorite patterns. I might have some "overstock" you'd be interested in...
