Disheveled

Fridge-3.jpgDearest Adriane has once again talked us gals into posting things that we would not otherwise post. The inside of our refrigerators is her latest scheme. After seeing the insides of so many refrigerators I'm having anxiety about posting this. What are you thinking after you see my fridge? This family is crazy!! It is a rare thing for our fridge to be organized. Sometimes I try because guess what? If it's organized you can fit a bit more in there.

Our main fridge is posted above. It's a bit full as you can tell. We've got all sorts of fruit, in many different areas, like on the top shelf I have raspberries. Then below that are strawberries alongside a bowl of watermelon. Then in the very bottom drawer we have grapes and peaches. Also, can someone tell me why I have 4 opened jars of pickles, 3 opened jars of salsa, 4 opened bottles of salad dressing, and 3 opened containers of mustard? Really? Of course there is also meat and cheese in the deli drawer as well as leftovers that will never get eaten hiding out in the back. Oh and if it's not embarrassing enough, there's one cheesy gordita crunch that Jared didn't eat from Sunday. He's calling it an investment because we all know that that gordita will not get any mold on it for about a year or probably longer. Kellee's OCD (or CDO) is going nuts right now.
Fridge1-3.jpgThis other fridge is kept in our garage. Originally it was supposed to be our "beer" fridge. That didn't last too long. Now it's full of everything that doesn't fit in our kitchen fridge. Don't ask me why there's a whole chicken in the door of my fridge. I don't actually remember putting that there, but I suppose it works right? We usually make a trip to Costco or Sam's Club every other week. That is where I purchase most of our groceries. While I do shop sale ads I also don't enjoy driving to four different grocery stores just to get the best deal. For things like milk, heavy cream, eggs, and butter I usually find that it is cheaper in bulk. Really. Where else can you buy 6 dozen eggs for $5? This fridge is currently housing some of our garden produce as well. I couldn't fit everything in there, so we actually have some things still sitting out in the garage waiting for me to figure out what to do with it all.

Oh. You're wondering what that awesome green goo is there, aren't you? Well, next to that fridge is a large chest freezer. That freezer happened to have some Otter Pops stored in it. I was on my way out to the garage when one of children very sneakily stole one of those Otter Pops. When that child heard someone coming the child quickly stuck that Otter Pop in the refrigerator so the child wouldn't get caught. I have yet to get a confession from any of my children though I have a pretty good idea who it was and the green goo has yet to be cleaned up. So there you have it, two refrigerators. If you're wondering what my freezers look like, well just look at my refrigerators and it's pretty much the same except that there are three of them.

You had me at Cheesy Gordita Crunch. Your fridges are awesome. Great beer, Mike's Hard Lemonade, bulk cream and eggs. It's all good.

:) They both look great!

That is impressive. I don't know why you were so worried about this assignment. It's not full of styrofoam carryout boxes or a snake. Or pajamas. So what if it has a little OtterPop goo.

You have to try the Black Cherry Mike's! They're the best.

You should see my refrigerators. BAD, bad, bad.
I have something, somewhere inside one of them that smells terrible. I just haven't had the time to find it! (It might be some of that cabbage!)

Your fridges look awesome! I would totally eat at your house. I saw not a stick of margarine in sight.

We have a "beer fridge" too, which turned into a campus ministry fridge. So it looks like we've got a frat party going in the basement.
