We have carrots growing like weeds in the garden at our church as well as a little strip in our front yard. The kids just love being able to run out to the garden and pick a little snack out. This works well for me too because it's a healthy snack and I'll let them eat as many as they want.

There is nothing as earthy and delicious as a carrot pulled straight from the ground.
