IMG_0331.jpgWe're pretty big Colorado Rockies fans. Jared and I have been to several games since we moved to Colorado. Last summer we took the entire family. It was a super hot day and we had no shade. I wasn't expecting it to be in the high 80s, but it was. We still had fun and the kids talk about going to another game this year. We'll see what happens.
_MG_5177.jpgOne of the games that we were lucky to attend was Ubaldo Jimenez t-shirt day, currently our favorite pitcher. The first so many fans got free t-shirt. The t-shirts were all the same size. There was no S, M, L. They were all size XL. Now I would call myself petite, so that t-shirt was more like a dress for me. That wasn't going to cut it.

Here's a pretty simple project to transform a shirt to the fit you want. A few years ago I got this Broncos t-shirt for a whopping $2 on the clearance at Old Navy. Cool, huh? Anyways, I love the fit so I used it as my template. See how big the the other shirt is? Crazy, right? I felt bad for all the kids that received a t-shirt.

20100924_0019-1.jpgI made a few markings and cut around the smaller shirt. I then ended up with two strips and cut out the sleeves next. Then I sewed everything back up.
Tshirt.jpgIt was the perfect fit. The shirt was super long so I just cut the bottom off. I had intentions to finish the bottom hem then decided that it looked just fine the way it was. I just left the hem and since it's a jersey knit there's no fraying. It's great!
Tshirt2.jpgIt's my new Rockies game t-shirt!
IMG_0382.jpgI even got to wear to the last game we went to last year. Fun times! My prediction for the Rockies this year is that they're going to the World Series. Let's hope I'm right. They're off to a good start so far.
