Easter Dinner

_MG_5458.jpgAfter we got home from church everyone crashed. Then we got moving and set up for a celebration.
_MG_5435.jpgBefore we left for church in the morning we started smoking this big bird.
_MG_5464.jpgFriends arrived. You know what a bunch of pastors' children play when they get together don't you? Catechism pictionary/charades of course. It was a hot game.
_MG_5466.jpgThen we sang a few hymns.
_MG_5467.jpgEaster hymns are the best. . . well, besides Lenten hymns. Maybe.
_MG_5471.jpgThen we feasted on turkey, ham, potatoes, green beans, pink salad, sweet potatoes, and wine!

I love "The Lutheran Hymnal" (TLH). Since TLH was available in red OR blue bindings, it may be better to refer to it as TLH since the blue TLH has the same great content as the red TLH ... both the best after 70+ years. I've even seen a white one ... but just once.
