Happy 9th Birthday Rebecca!

You were born with a full head of hair, 10 days early, just days after the 9/11 tragedy.   We didn't know that digital cameras or photoshop even existed yet.  Your dad thought I was in good shape and he was tired, so he took over the bed.

We celebrated your first birthday in the first house we owned.  We had an amazing Winnie the Pooh cake made and you got little personal Pooh cake courtesy of Denise from church. You were a little timid at first, but after you had a little cake you dove right in for the rest of it.
For your second birthday you were fortunate enough to have two parties and I think the whole world was there.  We were living in the farm house next to church. On the evening of your real birthday we had friends and family in town from all over the country.  For your actual birthday party, which I don't have pictures of,  we had church and seminary friends over.  You were spoiled rotten.
When you turned three we had moved back into our original house and you had friends from the seminary over while we feasted over your princess ice cream cake.
When your fourth birthday rolled around we thought we were moving to Chile, so we quickly sold our house and lived in an apartment for awhile.  Thomas was just born and our seminary friends were all moving away.  We enjoyed a little party with the Reinerts and your Dora cake!
Your fifth birthday took place in yet another different home!  We moved to Denver and made many new friends.  We had a pinata in the backyard and another princess ice cream cake!
Tinker belle was all the rage for your sixth birthday, so Marissa was kind enough to create that beauty for you. We had church friends over and had a blast.
You can check out Rebecca's 7th and 8th birthdays HERE and HERE!
Now you are 9 years old!  Unbelievable!  Where does the time go?  We have been incredibly blessed to be responsible for such a beautiful girl with a zeal to study new things.  Watching you grow and learn has been amazing gift that the Lord has given us.  We love you and are excited to continue watching you blossom into a wonderful young lady.
