Birthday Fun!

2EBdaySee that adorable little face?  How can you resist it?  It makes you want to give in and give her everything that she wants doesn’t it?2Ebday1 Planning a cake and figuring out all the presents can get kind of stressful.  Then add 2 more birthdays in the coming weeks and well…Yay!  I can’t wait.  :)2Ebday2 I just have to thank all of our friends and family for all your help in making these birthdays possible.  We couldn’t do it without you.  Your ideas, gifts, and cards you have sent out have been great!  Thank you!2Ebday3Cookie Monster and Elmo never go out of style, even when your kids don’t even watch Sesame Street.  I got two emails about making these cupcakes.  Funny, huh?  They were pretty fun to make, right Carissa?  They turned out pretty cute too! 2Ebday4 Of course the birthday girl got her own separate little cake.2Ebday5After dinner we were just hanging out.  Elizabeth and Elmo became quick friends or Elmo became a teething toy.  Either way. 2Ebday6  This was such a cute little picture that I had to stick it in there.EBday Cake time!  See video below.  It’s pretty cute!Ebday1Chow down baby!

Birthdays are a huge deal to me.  I’m not sure why.  Maybe it’s because we have a son that never it made it to his first birthday.  Maybe it’s the look on the kids’ faces-all of the excitement, not just in their faces, but in all the faces that are watching too.  It’s so fun!  Maybe it’s the fact that it only happens once a year. Whatever the reason, all the work and stress that goes into all these birthdays is so completely worth it.  I just love celebrating our kids’ birthdays and hope to celebrate many more!  And thank you to all of you who remember to celebrate with us even if you aren’t physically here.  We’re already preparing for another birthday in six days!!

That video has to be one of the cutest things I have ever seen!

I also know people who have spent obscene amounts of money to learn how to make cupcakes like the ones you made for Elizabeth's birthday. You are truly amazing!

Those cupcakes are great! I am with you on the birthday celebrations! Even as an adult it is so gratifying to do something extra that just says "I remember it's your special day." I think that comes from my mom. Your kids will always remember what a thoughful mom you were each time their birthday rolls around. I am sure next week will be just as fun!
