Boys…

DP

Jared and I were in the kitchen having a conversation when all of the sudden he says, “Why don’t you put that on your blog,” as he’s pointing out the window.  He says that often around our house.  I usually don’t have my camera handy, though.  It was so random.  The kids were outside in the front yard and David just happened to be in the backyard.  He probably knew I would tell him to take his shoes off if he came in the house, so why not just go right there?  The grass needed to be watered right? So this is for all of my friends who don’t have boys yet, but are about to have one.  This is what you get to look forward to in the future.  Really. I’m not sure I’ve met a little boy,or big one for that matter, that hasn’t done this.  (David never even knew I got this photo of him.  I shot this through the back door in the kitchen.  :)  Sneaky, huh??)

Ugh. Boys are so disgusting. Why do we like them?

You know that picture will win an I Heart Faces award someday, right? :)

I have to tell you a quick story. Many years ago I looked out of my window and saw our new neighbor's little boy doing the same thing in the space between our houses. Apparently, his mom saw him too and came over to explain. They had just moved in and their previous home had been on a tree lined lot, She told her little guy to go "on the lot line" if he was outside and had muddy shoes. Apparently, without trees, he was doing his best to figure out where the lot line was between our houses. I wish I had a picture of that!
